Leadership Essentials Program
Charles Sturt University is a leading Australian university with campuses across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria. As part of their vision to foster a culture of leadership excellence, Charles Sturt University launched their Leadership Essentials program.
Tonka Learning won the tender to partner with Charles Sturt University on the design and facilitation of their Leadership Essentials program, a range of short courses for academic and professional leaders aligned to their new capability framework. Since then, our work and our relationship with Charles Sturt University across all faculties and divisions has gone from strength to strength. When leaders now speak to the Vice-Chancellor about culture or capability, they sometimes get directed to us!
Our starting point was a core group of short courses: Career Planning & Goal Setting (23 x half-day virtual sessions) and Effective Leadership, Difficult Conversations and Workplace Conversations delivered multiple times at their Wagga Wagga and Bathurst campuses. There was also a fully customised option for all of these courses delivered for Heads of School leaders.
