Coaching

Tonka Learning provides individual and group coaching for executives and leaders ‘on the way up’. Usually supported by self and 360 assessments, our experienced coaches partner with coachees in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires coachees to maximise their personal and professional potential. Managers of coachees are typically included at the beginning and/or at the end of coaching.

Lasting between 3-6 months per assignment and delivered virtually, our coaches are adept at quickly building vulnerability, trust and rapport. Using proven techniques to support inquiry, socratic learning and reflective practice, our coaches coach, occasionally mentor and every now and then provide a suggestion.

Our underlying premise of coaching is that coachees engage with coaches to help them maximise their own resources, to help them see they are capable of sorting themselves out, to catalyse their thought processes so they can find their own way towards reaching their goals and, in the process, gain the realisation that they are talented, independent and full of potential. In a sense, a good coach works at making themselves redundant as soon as possible, as coachees gain confidence and become more aware of their inner strengths.
